To quote Parker’s Guide when reviewing the 2006 Caddy – “Whereas the previous Caddy was based upon a beefed-up Polo supermini, this model is developed from the larger Touran model for a more spacious cabin and a sleeker shape without the need for a box on the back… It offers more loadspace and can cope with greater payloads too. Caddy is a strong contender in a class which includes the Ford Transit Connect, Fiat Doblo, Citroen Berlingo and Peugeot Partner. While some versions of the Ford are a little bigger and more capable, this Caddy was the only van in it's class to offer a sliding side door as standard.”

With only 104k warranted miles on the clock and VW service history, this particular example came in to us as a trade in just over a year ago in February 2023 and had been off road on a SORN since May 2022 when the last MOT expired. It is fully HPI cleared and way below the average mileage expected on a 2006 plate. As a result, it has loads of life left in its strong 1.9 litre engine, it starts and drives really well, the seats are in really good condition, everything is working as it should and it will be given a service and MOT prior to sale.

With just 2 previous keepers, the last being a high-end catering company and before that a plumber judging by the paperwork. The belt and tensioning roller were changed in June 2021 at 96,631 miles and a new dual mass flywheel and clutch at 92,743 miles, so no concerns on those fronts.

Inevitably on a van coming up to its 17th birthday there are age related marks and dents but nothing really offensive and with its rather smart 10 spoke alloy wheels we would dare to suggest that once we have done the prep and valeting it will look very presentable!

With a really strong customer base for these vans we suspect that it’s next owner won’t be taking that long to find this little gem.
